Loma Linda University Health is seeking a Cook / Baker to prepare food items and ensure quality and sanitation standards. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, along with at least six months of food service experience. Job Summary : The Cook / Baker prepares food items according to menu and production forecast. Ensures accuracy and quality of recipes and food items. Assists in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the cook's area. Performs additional duties as needed.
Education and Experience : High School Diploma or GED preferred. At least six months of food service experience with demonstrated cooking skills required.
Knowledge and Skills : Able to read, write, and speak English. Capable of following written and oral instructions. Able to distinguish colors and hear sufficiently to perform job duties safely. Able to operate standard equipment safely. Able to work independently.
Licensures and Certifications : Food Handler's Certification from San Bernardino County Public Health Department required upon hire. SafeServ certification preferred. Courses available at https://sbc.statefoodsafety.com/ and https://www.servsafe.com/ServSafe-Manager/Get-Certified.
