Job summary

Trail Ridge Senior Living Community is seeking a Cook to join our team in a full-time role. The position supports resident dining by preparing meals that meet dietary needs and quality standards in a welcoming senior living environment.

You will work with a collaborative team to plan and execute nutritious menus, maintain sanitation, and ensure timely service, including holiday and weekend rotations. We value compassion, teamwork, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old
• 2+ years cooking experience in restaurant/healthcare
• Experience with food preparation and handling
• Knowledge of recipes, cooking methods, and food safety practices

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary requirements
• Prepare a variety of foods, including soups, sauces, baked goods, appetizers, and desserts
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
• Assist with inventory management and other daily kitchen operations
• Work with culinary and senior living team members
• Create an enjoyable dining experience for residents through quality meals

What You'll Do

As a Cook, you'll help prepare and serve high-quality meals while supporting the daily operations of the kitchen and creating a positive dining experience for our residents.

Responsibilities include:

• Follow proper food preparation, handling, and sanitation procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
• Assist with inventory management, food preparation, and other daily kitchen operations
• Follow food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
• Work collaboratively with other culinary and senior living team members
• Help create an enjoyable dining experience for residents by preparing quality, appealing meals

What You'll Need

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• At least 2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior services, or similar setting
• Experience with food preparation and handling
• Knowledge of recipes, cooking methods, and food safety practices
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
• Must be willing to work holidays and participate in a weekend rotation
