A leading retirement community is seeking a Cook to work 40 hours a week, mainly 12-hour shifts. The ideal candidate will assist in menu development, supervise kitchen staff, and ensure high-quality food presentation and safety standards while maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen.
REPORTS TO: Director of Service’s / Director of Culinary / Director of Food Service
HOURS: 7a - 7p *Will be required to work every other weekend
SCHEDULE: Will work three 12-hour days and one 4-hour day per week for a total of 40 hours
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for working with the Senior Director of Food Service to develop menus for The Hearth; assist in supervising food services staff in The Hearth; following menus and recipes to cook all meals for The Hearth, preparing food for parties, celebrations and special occasions, and adhering to all health department rules. In carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the position, the Line Cook must exercise creativity and ensure that food is delicious, appetizing and visually appealing.
