Base Pay Range

$16.00/hr - $16.00/hr

This position is 5 days a week, 3.25 hours a day, at $16/hr.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports to: Director of Food Services

Position Objective

The Cook assists in the implementation of the assigned school meal program.

Essential Functions

• Performs various duties for food preparation efficiently and timely as assigned by the Head Cook.
• Cleans utensils, equipment, and storage, food preparation, and serving areas daily to maintain sanitary conditions, as assigned by the Head Cook.
• Collects payments daily from students and staff for food items to complete transactions and secure funds.
• Attends training at the start of each school year to monitor students' food choices daily, ensuring compliance with mandated meal component requirements and adequate nutrition for USDA reimbursements.
• Complies with all food safety requirements, including wardrobe, handwashing, and hair net standards.

Qualifications

• Education level and knowledge sufficient to meet performance requirements.
• Previous food services experience preferred.
