Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is seeking a Cook 3 to join our culinary team. You will set up and break down stations, prepare ingredients to Chef’s standards, and ensure hygiene while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Ideal candidates will have a culinary degree or equivalent experience in a fine dining environment, with flexibility to work weekends and the stamina to stand long hours in a fast-paced kitchen.

• Basic knowledge of culinary operations and station setup.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced fine dining environment.
• Willingness to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

The Opportunity:

Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley is currently looking for a Cook 3.

Essential function of the job:

• Basic knowledgeable of culinary operations, a team player, hard worker, and detail oriented
• Knowledgeable in classic and modern cooking methods and techniques
• Set up and break down a culinary station efficiently
• Prep all ingredients and station to Chef’s standards
• Ensure station is clean and sanitized
• Must be able to maintain consistent and correct plate presentation
• Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with all departmental policies, service procedures & standards
• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for the team, and to be ready for service
• Assists with quality and presentation, maintaining cleanliness standards and organization of the kitchen and the restaurant when necessary
• Maintain a “clean as you go” work ethic
• A positive, service-oriented attitude and desire to contribute to a team
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and anticipate guest needs

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ideal candidates will have a combination of a culinary degree and work experience or the equivalent work experience in a full service fine dining restaurant, if no culinary degree has been obtained.
• Passionate about food and previous similar work experience
• Flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
• Standing for long periods of time
• Bending, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
• Must provide work authorization document - proof of eligibility to work in the United States of America
