Job summary

PENN Entertainment in Toledo, OH is seeking an experienced line cook to join our high-volume food operation. You will help maintain production levels, follow recipes, and prepare dishes across multiple stations while delivering friendly, efficient service.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5 years of line cook experience in busy venues, and Serve Safe certification. You must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays, maintain cleanliness, and coordinate with staff to ensure guests

Responsibilities

• Ensuring products meet all recipes standards

• Must show skills in garde manger, broiler, sauté stations, saucier, and large quantity cooking according
• Providing personalized service and uses guests’ names when possible
• Knowing and promoting current casino events and programs and can give guests directions to all casino areas

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Five years prior experience as cook in high volume food service operation
• Must be able to obtain Serve Safe certification
• Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment
• Familiar with all phases of food preparation techniques
• Required to taste and smell foods
• Knowledge of weights, measures and recipe yield
• Possess and maintain culinary tools (knives) to perform the necessary job functions
• Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
• Excellent customer service/communication skills
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
• Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy.
