Job Title: Cook 1

Join us at New Castle Hotels & Resorts as a Cook 1.

Position Details: Full-time, Mid-Senior level, Industry: Restaurants.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Be Great at What You Do: As a Lead Cook, serve as a role model and train team members. As a Line Cook, prepare high-quality food for restaurant and banquet guests based on established guidelines. As a Pantry/Prep Cook, handle all cold food items. As a Breakfast Cook, help start guests' day with a hot meal and a smile.
  2. Be a Team Player: Ensure timely and accurate food preparation across all outlets, maintaining professionalism and harmony in the kitchen.
  3. Maintain Cleanliness and Organization: Keep the work area clean and organized, following sanitation and food safety procedures.
  4. Follow Safety & Security Policies: Adhere to hotel safety and security policies, anticipate problems, and seek management assistance when needed.
Job Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of cooking experience in a hotel kitchen or related field preferred, with banquet, fine dining, and line experience required for certain roles.
  • Culinary training in a college setting preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
  • Good communication skills in English, ability to multi-task, and flexible schedule preferred.
