Job summary

St. Joseph's Living Center is hiring a Cook for full-time daytime and evening shifts in a community care setting.

The role involves preparing meals to menus, verifying ingredients, and following sanitation standards while collaborating with dietitians and CNAs to support resident nutrition. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is offered and a Serv Safe Manager certification is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1+ year experience as a Cook in a commercial setting.
• Serv Safe Managers Certificate or can obtain shortly after starting.
• Prior experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to function both independently and as a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• English fluency in speaking and writing.

~$2,000 Sign-On Bonus!
$21.00 - $22.00/hour, based on experience
Full-Time
Shift Available: 5:30AM - 1:30PM and 11:00AM - 7:00PM | rotating weekends and holidays

Delivering Solutions that Matter:

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, therapeutic diet requirements, and approved food safety and sanitation standards, including alternative meal selections when needed.
• Review menus before food preparation, ensure ingredients and supplies are available for upcoming meals, and help maintain a clean, organized food storage area.
• Follow all safety regulations, infection control practices, and sanitary procedures throughout food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with the dietitian and interdisciplinary team, including CNAs, to implement dietary recommendations and support quality resident care.
