Job summary

AVI Foodsystems, Inc. in Wilmington, OH is seeking an energetic Cook to join our team. This full-time role offers Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–10pm shifts and a chance to contribute to daily meal preparation with a focus on quality and presentation.

You will assemble, cook, and plate menu items, maintain a sanitary kitchen, and collaborate with staff to deliver a pleasant dining experience. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience including food preparation.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and sanitation practices.
• Exceptional food presentation and plating skills.
• Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and healthy work habits.

Responsibilities

• Please customers by providing a pleasant dining experience.
• Assemble, cook, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen and proper food handling.
• Attend to detail and presentation of each order.
• Place and expedite orders and manage prep work.
• Perform hot and cold meal preparation and ensure fresh ingredients.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures and rotate stock.
• Contribute to daily and special menus with the team.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to fill the role of Cook.

This is a full-time position in Wilmington, OH. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-10pm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Please customers by providing a pleasant dining experience
• Assemble, combine, and cook ingredients
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen
• Attend to the detail and presentation of each order
• Place and expedite orders
• Prepare ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients
• Complete hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients
• Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
• Maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items
• Stores leftovers according to established standards
• Contribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with the team

Requirements:

• 2 or more years of cooking experience to include food preparation
• Strong working knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety and sanitation practices
• Exceptional food presentation skills
• Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances
