Job summary

Williamsburgrehab in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Cook to join our Dietary team. In this full-time role, you'll prepare and cook meals that bring comfort to our residents, ensuring that they are served on time and in accordance with dietary guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.

  • Ensure meals are served on time and at the proper temperature and presentation.

  • Follow portion control and safe food-handling practices.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and equipment in compliance with health and safety standards.

  • Assist with inventory, food storage, and supply rotation.

  • Work collaboratively with the Dietary Manager and team to meet resident needs and preferences.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Prior experience as a cook in healthcare, hospitality, or restaurant setting preferred.

  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures required.

  • Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions.

  • Dependable, team-oriented, and able to work independently.
