Job summary

AdviniaCare Wellesley Alzheimer's Center is hiring a skilled Cook to join the team on a part-time and full-time basis. You will plan, prepare, and cook food items for residents, while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and ensuring proper sanitation.

Responsibilities include following recipes, working with other kitchen staff for smooth service, and upholding a positive, respectful environment for residents and coworkers. Certification in food handling and culinary education preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Certificate or associate degree in culinary arts or cooking.
• State food handling certificate and knowledge of geriatric diets.
• Experience using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware.
• Knowledge of grilling, baking, boiling and other cooking methods.
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures.
• Capacity to work effectively in a team.

As a Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for our residents. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, as well as ensuring proper food handling and sanitation.
