Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Briarcliff Manor, NY is seeking a friendly Cook to join our kitchen team and prepare meals for residents in a restaurant-style dining setting.

You will follow recipes, maintain a clean and safe kitchen, collaborate with fellow staff, and help create enjoyable dining experiences. Prior cooking experience in hospitality or healthcare is valued; a valid food handlers permit may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of cook experience in hospitality or healthcare environment.
• Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or Company standards.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, guides, cleaning schedules and logs.

Responsibilities

• Join the kitchen staff in preparing and cooking food for our residents.
• Build positive relationships with residents, employees and coworkers.
• Understand that dining in the restaurant-style atmosphere can be the highlight of our residents’ day.
• Maintain the kitchen in a clean, safe and sanitary condition at all times.

Salary Range

The wage range for this position is $19.00/hr - $22.80/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
