Job summary

Reedy River Post Acute is seeking a dependable Cook to join our dietary team in Greenville, SC. You will help prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for our 124-bed skilled nursing residents, while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment and adhering to dietary restrictions.

This full-time, day-shift role offers competitive pay ($15–$16/hour), health/dental/vision insurance, PTO and a 401(k) with company match, plus opportunities for CNA training and career advancement within South Carolina.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Previous cooking or food service experience, preferably in a healthcare, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and therapeutic diets.
• Compassion for the geriatric population.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Dietary Manager with meal preparation and food production.
• Prepare and serve meals following approved menus and recipes.
• Ensure meals meet physician-ordered dietary restrictions and special diets.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and cleanliness.
• Follow all food safety and infection control guidelines.
• Store food and supplies safely.
• Assist with meal service and tray preparation as needed.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment as assigned.
• Help ensure residents receive meals meeting nutritional needs.
• Collaborate with dietary staff and other departments to provide resident care.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Cook to join our dietary team. In this role, you will help prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment. You will play an important part in ensuring residents receive meals that meet both their dietary needs and personal preferences.

Your Day-to-Day

• Assist the Dietary Manager with meal preparation and food production

Qualifications

Preferred Candidates Will Have:
