Job summary

Essentia Health Deer River Hospital is seeking a dedicated food service worker in Nutrition Services. You will prepare and cook meals, bake, and perform basic food preparation while stocking and cleaning food service areas.

Properly uses institutional equipment and adheres to infection control guidelines during food handling. Shift details include Day/Eve rotations with no educational prerequisites; Serve Safe certification is required within 90 days of hire or transfer at Solvay Hospice House

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen preparation and cooking, quantity food cooking experience or experience working in an institutional food services department is preferred.
• No educational requirements.

Job Description

This position provides high quality appealing and nutritious foods to customers through food service through large and small scale cooking, baking and, basic food preparation, general cleaning and stocking of food services areas. Properly uses and cares for institutional food service equipment. Strictly adheres to infection control guidelines during food handling to prevent food contamination. Carefully follows Dietary recipes, guidelines, and departmental policies.
