Job summary

National Health Care Associates' Maefair Center for Health & Rehabilitation in Trumbull, CT seeks a Per-Diem Cook to join our compassionate kitchen team. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals while meeting dietary needs and enhancing residents' quality of life.

You will work with dietary staff to plan menus, maintain high sanitation, and help ensure a positive dining experience in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a Cook, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Safe knife handling skills.
• Experience operating commercial slicers, ovens, grills, large blenders, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions for the safe use, cleaning and care of dietary equipment, preparation and service areas.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
