Position Summary

Allure of Stockton is seeking a passionate and creative Dietary Cook who enjoys showcasing culinary skills and preparing scratch-made, high-quality meals for our residents and staff. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in food presentation, flavor, and consistency while following established menus and food safety standards.

The Dietary Cook prepares and serves meals according to a four-week cycle menu, ensures proper food handling and sanitation practices, and may supervise dietary aides as needed. This position reports directly to the Food Service Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily food preparation and meal service

• Determine appropriate amounts and types of food and supplies needed

• Monitor and record food temperatures (hot and cold) prior to meal service

• Prepare meals according to menus and dietary guidelines

• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas after food preparation

• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Food Service Supervisor

• Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all meals

• Set priorities and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
