Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, is hiring a full-time Cook in the Dietary Department in Shippensburg, PA. Hours are 6 am–6 pm with every other weekend rotation, and a $500 sign-on bonus is offered.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, managing dietary menus, serving patients and staff, and maintaining clean kitchen and dining areas. Benefits and career growth opportunities are provided by UHS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• ServeSafe certification is preferred. This training will be offered if the employee is not already ServeSafe certified.
• Valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.

• Prepares food and dessert items according to standard recipes.
• Must have knowledge of the menu and products used in the dietary department.
• Serves meals to patients, staff and visitors in a courteous manner with consideration to dietary needs.
• Maintains and cleans assigned areas including kitchen, dining rooms, storage and receiving areas in a clean, orderly and attractive condition providing a suitable environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in ordering of supplies and food products and completes weekly inventory of items.

Located in Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17.
