Job summary

Makeready is hiring a Prep Cook at The Menger Hotel in San Antonio, TX. You will support the kitchen by preparing ingredients, setting up workstations, and maintaining safety and sanitation in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 1 year of cooking experience and familiarity with commercial equipment; culinary degree or related experience is preferred, with strong communication across front and back of house.

Preparation is the foundation of cooking, and a Prep Cook lays the groundwork for all of the beautiful dishes created in the kitchen. Making everything from sauces to sides, this individual is efficient but does not cut corners, knowing that a consistent product is essential to the integrity and flavor of the final product. This person enjoys being a vital part of a team dynamic and is adept at following directions and communicating with the chef team.
