Job summary

The Adolphus in downtown Dallas is seeking a passionate culinary professional to join the Rodeo Bar team as it reopens with a new menu and vibe. You will help create an intentional dining experience by elevating local ingredients and flavors.

You will set up stations, prep ingredients, and maintain safety and sanitation while delivering consistent quality in a fast-paced environment. Benefits include comprehensive PTO, health plans, parental leave, pet insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years professional cooking experience.
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Ability to follow sanitation procedures.
• Culinary degree or related restaurant experience preferred.
• Strong communication with front and back of the house.
• Capable in a fast-paced kitchen.

Recognized for more than a century as the iconic address for Dallas hospitality, The Adolphus offers timeless culture, vibrant and storied surroundings, imaginative and collaborative food and drink, and immersive experiences. In it's reimagining, the 407 room downtown hotel recalls a grand European home.

We are in search of passionate personalities to become the face of The Adolphus hotel’s iconic Rodeo Bar. This joint first opened in 1981 and served Dallasites and visitors for nearly four decades. We are now re-opening the Rodeo bar with a new menu, new vibe and back room for private gatherings while honoring the heart and soul of the original concept : “Texas grit and authenticity.”

This individual is passionate about the connections that can be created over a good meal. Their primary goal is to create an intentional culinary experience that connects guests to the local environment by elevating unique ingredients and flavors.

Requested Tasks

• Setting up, cleaning, and organizing a workstation
• Preparing a variety of ingredients and recipes with efficiency and timeliness
• Maintaining good kitchen safety and sanitation

Requested Capabilities

• At least 3+ years of related professional cooking experience
• Experience with commercial restaurant cooking equipment
• Ability to follow sanitation and cleanliness procedures
• Culinary degree or related restaurant experience is preferred
• Great communication skills with both front and back of the house
• Handle a fast-paced cooking environment with ease
