BHC Alhambra Hospital in Rosemead, California is seeking a compassionate Cook - Per Diem to support patient and staff meals. The role requires following approved menus, preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards.
Per diem schedule typically includes weekday shifts 3:00–7:00 pm with weekend coverage as needed. Experience in quantity cooking and knowledge of modified diets are preferred.

BHC Alhambra Hospital is a private, fully accredited, full-service acute psychiatric hospital serving children, adolescents and adults. BHC Alhambra is dedicated to providing quality behavioral health, substance abuse, and eating disorder treatment. We offer inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient options for individuals in the communities of the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County, and surrounding areas.
The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.

Requirements:
Education/Experience: One (1) year experience in quantity cooking is desired, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful. Current Certified Food Handler Card preferred.
