Pay for this position is $18.07/hour. This is an hourly position.

Overview

Position Summary: Prepares and presents high-quality food within specified time frames for patient and retail services. Follows safe food handling procedures. Takes customer orders and prepares according to recipes, considering dietary needs and specifications.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 6 months experience in healthcare or restaurant facility.

Licensure/Certification:

• Illinois Food Safety Sanitation Certification (or within 1 year of hire). Employees hired before 9/1/2020 are grandfathered and exempt.
• FSSC-Food Service and Sanitation Certification.

Other Licenses/Certifications:

• Food Handler Certification within 30 days of hire at Heart of Mary Medical Center and Motherhouse locations. FSSMC or CFPM certifications are not required at these locations.

Other Skills/Knowledge:

• Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility and adaptability to schedule and environment changes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED; Culinary Degree.

Experience:

• 2 years as a cook in a healthcare facility.
