Job summary

Carefield Castro Valley is seeking a friendly cook to join our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. The role involves preparing salads, desserts, and menu meals, following production sheets, and maintaining kitchen safety.

You will work Friday-Saturday early shifts and weekend coverage, with pay between $20 and $21 per hour depending on experience, and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 months previous cooking experience to be qualified for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, bake desserts, and complete menu meals on time and without the direct supervision of the Culinary Services Director.
• Read, interpret and follows production sheets.
• Safely operate all kitchen equipment and dishwashing machine.
• Clean and sanitize ovens, grill, workspace, and cooking utensils.
• Check food orders delivered against invoice.
• Able to maintain work pace appropriate to given workload and punctuality.
• May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification.
• Read and follow instructions, recipe books, menus, and food labels correctly.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to work well with all people, particularly the elderly.
• Demonstrate willingness to help other staff when needed.

Schedule

• Friday - Saturday 5:30am - 2pm
• Sunday - Monday 10am - 7pm
• Scheduled Shift: 5:30am - 2pm / 10am - 6:30am
  

Rate Of Pay

• $20 - $21 Depending on experience
  

Job Duties Include
