Job summary

Carefield Pleasanton Memory Care in Pleasanton, CA is hiring for a dining service role. You will take and serve meal orders from residents in a courteous and professional manner, set up dining areas, and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.

The position requires physical stamina to stand, move, lift up to 50 pounds, and participate in cross-training across dining and kitchen tasks. This is a day-time role with shifts reflecting the community’s dining schedule.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, stoop and bend frequently; lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 50 pounds.
• Able to communicate clearly with residents and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities

• Take and serve meal orders from residents in a courteous and professional manner.
• Set up dining areas, arrange tables, ensure cleanliness before and after meals.
• Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate meal service.
• Ensure serving areas are stocked with necessary supplies.
• Be adaptable and open to cross-training in dining and kitchen roles.
• Move about community to assist residents, including in emergency situations.

Schedule:

• Monday - Sunday 6am - 2:30pm

Rate of Pay:

• $17.50 - $18 Depending on experience

Job Duties Include:

• Take and serve meal orders from residents in a courteous and professional manner.
• Assist in setting up dining areas, including arranging tables and ensuring cleanliness and organization before and after meals.
• Able to stand, stoop and bend frequently, lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 50 pounds. Also must have the ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands and fingers, handle/feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Possess adequate physical stamina to move freely about the Community and assist residents where needed, including in emergency situations.
• Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate meal service.
• Ensure all serving areas are stocked with necessary supplies,
• Be adaptable and open to cross-training in various roles within the dining and kitchen areas.
• Withstand heat from cooking area and cold from below-zero freezer
