Job summary

Carefield Castro Valley, a premier Assisted Living and Memory Care community, seeks compassionate team members to join our Castro Valley campus. You will support memory-impaired residents with daily living activities, including grooming, meals, and mobility, while maintaining a safe, caring environment.

You will follow scheduled shifts (Fridays through Mondays or Sundays through Wednesdays; part-time floater roles offer 20-30 hours per week) and receive training.

Qualifications

• Basic caregiving knowledge and ability to follow care routines (training provided).
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist memory-impaired residents with ADLs, including grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, and transferring as needed.
• Assist with meals, serving, and dining-related tasks; report changes in eating habits to supervisor.
• Record and report changes in residents' condition using approved charting methods.

Schedules Include

• Friday - Monday 6:30am - 2pm
• Sunday - Wednesday 6:30am - 2pm
• 2 part time floater positions offering 20-30 hours per week

$18.50 - $19

Job Duties Include

• Basic Knowledge of caregiving practices (training provided)
• Perform activities on schedule while maintaining regular attendance and punctuality within specified tolerance.
• Provide assistance and support to our memory-impaired residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, oral hygiene, bath/shower, hair cleaning, brushing, and transferring to and from activities and meals, as needed, lift and/or transfer residents as needed.
• Assist with memory-impaired resident’s environment (e.g. clothing, linen, and personal belongings).
• Assist in meal preparation/presentation, serving to the resident, and other dining-related responsibilities, record and report changes in resident’s eating habits to the supervisor
• Record and report changes in resident’s condition to the supervisor including but not limited to changes in resident’s ability to perform activities of daily living, skin changes, bruising, etc.
• Use approved charting criteria and procedures to record pertinent information in resident charts
• Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
