Job summary

Aspen Grove Behavioral Hospital in Utah is seeking a Dietary Cook for a part-time/PRN role with a 1pm–7pm schedule on Monday and Tuesday and alternating weekend shifts. Qualifications

• Experience in an institutional kitchen is REQUIRED.
• Ability to cook in large quantities and be the primary cook on weekend shifts.
• Must obtain Food Handler's Permit within 90 days of hire.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• 21 years of age or older REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Takes initiative — identifies things that need to be done and takes action
• Displays a hard work ethic and completes daily cooking and cleaning tasks
• Ensures major equipment is shut off, including the dishwasher, ovens, cook tops, steam table, and the cold table
• Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe kitchen and pantry, including washing dishes, mopping floors etc.
• Maintains awareness of and ensures that special dietary restrictions are always applied in preparation of food for each patient

Position Details:

• Part-Time/PRN Schedule: 1pm - 7pm Monday & Tuesday w/alternating AM & PM shifts on weekends (6A-230P, 1030A-7P, and 1P-7P)
