Job summary

Urban Egg in Kansas is seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our high-quality breakfast, brunch and lunch menus in a fast-paced, guest‑focused environment.

The ideal candidate will bring passion for cooking, strong food-safety practices and teamwork. You’ll prepare dishes to our standards, maintain a clean workstation and collaborate with teammates to deliver great guest experiences in a welcoming setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook or similar culinary role in a full-service restaurant.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Food safety certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Daytime and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet timing standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations at all times
• Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation

Paid Sick Leave (Colorado)

Per the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act ("HFWA"), Urban Egg provides the following paid leave to all employees working in a Colorado-based location: Up to 48 hours of paid leave per year, for the use of a variety of health and safety needs. Team members earn 1 hour of leave for every 30 hours worked. Leave is paid at the same pay rate as time worked.
