Full-Time Days

We are looking for a friendly Cook to work full-time, and it could be YOU!

Join our creative culinary team and work in our newly renovated Resident Dining Room & SPRIG Bistro!

Summary:

The Cook prepares hot foods for our residents’ meals, daily specials, and special events. Determines the quantity of food items to prepare and ensures that temperatures, appearance, portion control, and quality meet state and federal guidelines.

  • Prepares bulk foods for cooking
  • Cooks food on commercial kitchen equipment, using processes such as baking, frying, sautéing, boiling, and grilling, following standardized recipes.
  • Assists with and prepares catering items regularly.
  • Determines the quantity of food to prepare based on production sheets and menus.
  • Regularly cleans the production area and kitchen equipment.
  • Ensures food safety, appearance, portion control, and quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months’ related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with short-order cooking in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of food and food production, ability to cook in a commercial kitchen, and food safety and sanitation requirements.
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent preferred.
