Job Responsibilities
  1. Plan, prepare, and cook food items to ensure high-quality service and experience for residents.
  2. Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and efficiency.
  3. Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and storage procedures.
  4. Keep residents healthy and nourished through quality food service.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a kitchen setting.
  • Certificate or associate degree in culinary arts or cooking from a community college.
  • Food handling certificate from your state and knowledge of geriatric diets.
  • Experience with cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware.
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.).
  • Ability to follow sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
