Avenue at North Ridgeville is a post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing care facility offering a distinctive experience where meals matter. We are looking for a caring, dependable Cook to join our team and prepare delicious, nutritious meals that help residents feel at home.

You will work in a supportive kitchen, open or close duties, and ensure safety and cleanliness while collaborating with dietary aides. We value compassion, teamwork, and a commitment to quality in every meal.

Qualifications

• Reading and writing in English required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long shifts.
• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong focus on cleanliness, safety, and detail.
• Team oriented with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Open or close the kitchen and operate equipment safely
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines
• Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure safety
• Supervise dietary aides and maintain food quality standards
• Set up hydration and hospitality carts
• Clean steam tables, prep areas, and kitchen equipment
• Wash pots and pans, sweep, and follow daily cleaning schedules
• Complete pre-prep tasks for upcoming meals
