Job summary

Danbury Senior Living is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. You will assist the Executive Chef in preparing appetizers, meals, desserts and special events for our residents, while upholding high standards of quality and safety.

Two years of cook or dietary experience and a positive, patient attitude toward seniors are preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits for full-time employees and a separate perks package for part-time staff, with opportunities for advancement.

• Two-year cook or dietary experience.
• Senior living, assisted living, nursing facility experience is helpful but not required.
• A great outlook, cheerful disposition, patience, and love of seniors are a must.

Responsibilities

• Prepare appetizers, meals, desserts, snacks, and special events foods under the direction of the Executive Chef.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary and perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
