Job summary

Danbury Senior Living is seeking a Cook (also called Dietary Cook) to prepare a variety of meals and snacks under the supervision of the Executive Chef. You may assist in serving meals and help with special events, bringing a cheerful, patient approach to elderly residents.

Experience of at least one year in cooking or dietary roles is preferred. Senior living experience is helpful but not required, and a genuinely positive attitude toward seniors is essential.

Qualifications

• One-year cook or dietary experience.
• Senior living, assisted living, nursing facility experience is helpful but not required.
• A great outlook, cheerful disposition, patience, and love of seniors are a must.

What do Cooks do at Danbury?

• Our Cooks prepare appetizers, meals, desserts, snacks, and special events foods under the direction of the Executive Chef. Cooks also assist in serving meals as necessary and perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors.
