Pennswood Village in Newtown, PA is seeking an experienced Hot Cook to join our culinary team. You will work with the Executive Chef to prepare high-quality meals for residents and guests, delivering consistent flavor and presentation in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.

We offer a daytime schedule with no late nights, competitive pay at $21.25 per hour, generous PTO, health coverage, retirement match, tuition assistance, and year-round employment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in a high-volume kitchen.
• Experience on hot-line and grill station.
• Commitment to food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and established quality standards.
• Work the hot line and grill station in a high-volume kitchen.
• Prepare high-quality food in batches and to order.
• Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure meals are prepared accurately and on time.
• Maintain consistent quality, presentation and portioning.
• Follow food safety, sanitation and proper food-handling standards.
• Monitor food usage and help minimize waste.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation using a 'clean as you go' approach.
• Assist in other areas of the kitchen as needed.

What You’ll Do

As a Hot Cook, you’ll work alongside our Executive Chef and culinary team preparing high-quality meals for Pennswood residents and guests.

Qualified candidates should have:

• Previous hot-line cooking experience
• Experience in a high-volume kitchen or food-production environment; 3-5 years preferred
• A commitment to excellent food quality and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong teamwork and customer-service mindset
• Professional and dependable work habits
• ServSafe certification is a plus
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including every other weekendand some holidays
