Job summary

Newfields is seeking a Cook to join the Culinary Arts Department in Indianapolis, IN. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seasonal operations meet the team’s needs, prepare dishes, and maintain clean workspaces.

The Cook plays a very important role in the overall success of the Newfields Culinary Arts Department. This position works closely with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to ensure that seasonal operations needs of the team are met. The Cook makes sure that the needs of all seasonal projects for both the customer and employees are being met during each shift.

Examples of duties that will be expected of this position are: Relaying inventory counts and quality issues to the Chefs, proper food handling, making sure spaces are clean and secure when closing for the day, alerting management to staffing issues and becoming familiar with overall Newfields policies and procedures so that they can help lead the team in being compliant.

Position requires working an average of 37.5 hours per work week, and must have full weekend availability.
