The Hope Center is hiring a Cook in Bronx, NY!

DUTIES:

1. Preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of foods
2. Baking a variety of rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies
3. Working on tray line during meal service
4. General cleaning of the kitchen
5. Hand washing and sanitizing of pots and pans
6. Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Certification in healthcare cooking (SERV Safe or Sodexo)
2. Minimum one (1) year of experience in large-scale cooking
3. Strong knowledge of large-scale & therapeutic food prep
4. Ability to perform some physical work
5. Strong team player skills
6. High School Diploma or Equivalent
7. Excellent customer service & communication skills
8. Ability to manage the Kitchen in the absence of the food service director
