As one of NYC’s leading specialty coffee providers, Black Fox Coffee is a progressive organization seeking like-minded hospitality professionals to join our growing team.

We have a tightly run food offering that highlights great produce with a straightforward approach.

We are currently hiring a Line Cook to be part of a tight-knit team at our flagship location at 70 Pine Street.

Note - must be able to work weekends and early morning shifts (6:00 am - 2:30 pm).

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for food preparation including following recipes, stocking service stations, heating, serving, and presenting dishes quickly, precisely, and cleanly.
• Follow directions, accept criticism and feedback, and meet standards set by the Kitchen Manager.
• Complete prep work and follow procedures to ensure preparedness.
• Maintain a DOH-compliant work area including cleanliness, storage organization, and relevant cooking procedures.
• Observe allergy protocols.
• Receive food orders and complete them within the given time frame.
• Maintain professional conduct and treat coworkers with respect.
• Perform other tasks expected of a line cook.

• A passion for food, exceptional work ethic, and dedication.
• Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly, and improve continuously.
• High-volume cafe experience preferred.
• NYC Food Handlers Card.

Pay range: $18/hr without NYC Food Handlers Card, $20/hr with NYC Food Handlers Card. Raises offered with tenure (6 months) for those with DOH certificate.
