Job summary

Hellenic Management, Inc. is seeking a Cook to join our team. You will prepare and serve nourishing meals for residents and ensure dietary requests are accurately followed, while maintaining clean and safe kitchen practices.

As part of our caring nonprofit team, you’ll contribute to delivering high-quality meals in a supportive environment and help residents feel at home.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in large-quantity food preparation in a health care setting.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets and portion control.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple math.

Responsibilities

As the Cook,you will apply your dynamic abilities by:

• Preparingand serving high-quality, nourishing and properly prepared food items


• Ensuringresident meal choices are consistent with orders


• Cleaningand maintain all kitchen equipment


• Followtime schedules for food production/preparation and the serving of the meals

The ideal candidate willpossess the following:

• Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED)


• Experiencein large food quantity preparation in a health care community


• Knowledgeof serving of therapeutic diets and portion control


• Abilityto read, write, and make simple mathematical calculations


• Abilityto remain stationary 50-100%; position self to exert 10-30lbs of force or tomove objects
