Job summary

CareCore at Heritage in Minster, Ohio, is seeking a Cook to join our Dietary team. Prepare meals to planned menus, ensure dietary orders are met, and maintain high standards of quality and safety for our residents.

Part-time prep and relief cook roles with 10:30am–7pm shifts. The team emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and respectful resident interactions, with every other weekend and holiday coverage required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cooking, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Dependable with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Friendly and respectful when interacting with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control regulations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

• Work with the Dietary team to ensure timely meal service.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by the Director of Dining Services.

Available Shifts

Part-Time Prep Cook: 10:30am-7pm.

Part Time Relief Cook: 10:30am-7pm

Every other weekend is required.
