Job description

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt


Hiring Range: $15.00 - $27.00 (based on a full time schedule of 40 hours per week). Please note that the final offer will vary based on scheduled hours. Compensation for part-time or reduced schedules will be prorated based on scheduled weekly hours, experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.


Schedule Details: Holidays - Every Other Holiday, Monday through Friday, Weekends - Every Other Weekend. Scheduled Hours: 6am-2:30pm, 6:30am-3pm, 11am-7:30pm. Shift: 4 - Mixed Shift, 8 Hours (United States of America). Hours: 40.

The cook position is responsible for the preparation, storage, and distribution of hot and cold food for the cafeteria, patient meal service, special functions and outside programs. Maintains high standards for sanitation in the production area. On a daily basis, prepares assigned recipes in proper quantities meeting established standards to ensure the highest in customer satisfaction.

  • Participates in the containment of department food costs

  • Attends and participates in dietary department meetings

  • Assists in keeping all Press Ganey scores within or greater than departmental targets / goals

III. Position Qualifications


  • High School degree or equivalent

  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend English including being able to follow both written and verbal instructions

  • ServSafe certification obtained within 1 year of employment
