Job summary

HHS is seeking a part-time cook at Livingston Regional Hospital to prepare meals for patients, visitors, and staff under the chef/production manager's guidance. Shifts include day, evening, and night options with a starting wage of $15 per hour.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining sanitation, and supporting the team to run the department efficiently. Background checks and eligibility verification are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in a commercial kitchen (fast food, hotel operations, healthcare).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, cooking, line cook, healthcare foodservice).

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team!

Under the guidance of the chef/production manager, cook meals and provide food service for patients, the retail cafe, and catering events at the hospital.

• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, cooking, line cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, dietary cook, healthcare foodservice)

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
