Job summary

HHS is seeking a dedicated culinary team member to prepare meals for patients, visitors, and hospital staff at Bon Secours Mercy Health St Rita’s Medical Center. You will follow established recipes, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to health and safety policies in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires 2+ years in a commercial kitchen, ability to work with others in English, and a strong emphasis on hygiene and uniform presentation. Salary is hourly with benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen (fast food, hotel operations, healthcare).
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent communication in English and ability to work well in a team.
• Must maintain good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
• Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, line cook, dietary cook, healthcare foodservice).

Job Description

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team!

Under the guidance of the chef/production manager, cook meals and provide food service for patients, the retail cafe, and catering events at the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality meals for patients, visitors, and hospital staff
• Follow company recipes and guidelines to prepare all food items
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all cleaning, sanitation, and closing procedures
• Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
