Job summary

Over Easy is hiring a dedicated line cook to join our kitchen team in Mesa. You’ll ensure quality, safety, and timely plating while upholding menu standards and sanitation guidelines.

We value energetic, reliable teammates with at least 1 year in a busy restaurant. Expect a fast-paced environment, steady hours, and opportunities for development. Applicants must be 16+ and legally eligible to work in the US.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of restaurant industry experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• 16 years of age or older and authorized to work in the US.
• Excellent teamwork and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, food safety/sanitation, and timely service.
• Know menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation basics.
• Prepare a variety of items using knives, mixers, immersion blenders, and food processors.
• Stock and maintain levels at line stations for smooth service.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workstation and handling of equipment.
• Rotate and store products according to health standards.
• Close kitchen with opening/closing checklists and deep cleaning.

Requirements

The Position Specifics

• Assumes 100% responsibility for the quality, food safety/sanitation, and timeliness of dishes served
• Responsible for being well-acquainted with all menu items, recipes, plating guidelines, and sanitation/basic safety information
• Prepares a variety of food items using knives, electric mixers, immersion blenders, food processors, scales, and portion bags
• Shows up when scheduled and prepares, stocks, and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service
• Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, broilers, sauté, burners, ovens, flat top griddles, and refrigeration equipment both during and after service
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly in accordance with health department standards.
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the opening and closing checklist for kitchen stations completing deep clean projects.
