Job summary

Opus East Memphis is seeking a Cook in Memphis, TN to join a team that values residents and quality dining. This full-time role offers flexible shifts from 6:00 AM–2:00 PM or 12:00 PM–8:00 PM and a collaborative environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hotel, line cook, or high-volume kitchen experience.
• Culinary training or restaurant cooking experience.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, portion control, and commercial kitchen operations.
• Experience with special diets or senior living communities is a plus.
• Experience with large-batch cooking (100+ meals) is preferred.
• A positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a passion for serving others.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, flavorful meals following established recipes, menu cycles, and dietary modifications.
• Ensure every plate is served with quality, consistency, and care.
• Assist with food deliveries, inventory rotation, and kitchen organization.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times.
• Complete required kitchen logs and regulatory documentation.
• Work closely with the Dining Director to ensure smooth meal service and kitchen operations.
• Help create a warm, welcoming dining experience for our residents every day.

Highly Preferred: 2+ years of hotel, high-volume, or line cook experience.
