Job summary

Harboroaks in Madison, WI is seeking a full-time Cook to join our food service team. The position requires cooking and preparing meals according to approved menus and supervising staff during meal service, with shifts every other weekend.

You will maintain kitchen cleanliness, inventory, and equipment, work with leadership or a Dietitian to ensure varied, nutritious, and appetizing menus, and uphold safety and cost standards in a busy institutional setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two or more years’ experience in institutional food service.
• ServSafe or similar food safety certification as required by state/facility.

• Perform and coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities.
• Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, cost parameters, and appropriate regulatory requirements.

• Two or more years’ experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state, facility.
