Job summary

Harboroaks is seeking a dedicated cook/food service worker to implement menus, coordinate food preparation, and serve meals in an institutional setting. The role requires directing kitchen staff and ensuring meals meet approved menus and quality standards.

Responsibilities include preparing and serving meals, maintaining cleanliness and safety, inventory control, and collaborating with Food Service leadership or Dietitian to ensure nutritionally balanced menus while adhering to cost parameters

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two or more years of food service experience in institutions preferred.
• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification preferred.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Additional education or training in the culinary field preferred.
• Two or more years’ experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state, facility.
