Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Cook for a Monday–Friday 6am–2:30pm shift. The role focuses on assembling, cooking, and presenting meals with an emphasis on sanitary kitchen practices and quality food presentation.

We value 2+ years of cooking experience, strong knowledge of cooking methods and safety, and a team-oriented, energetic attitude. Health and retirement benefits are provided to eligible full-time staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of cooking experience including food preparation.
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods and sanitation.
• Ability to present meals attractively.
• Familiar with common kitchen equipment.
• Able to work Monday–Friday 6am–2:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Please customers by providing a pleasant dining experience.
• Assemble, cook ingredients.
• Maintain a sanitary kitchen.
• Attend to the detail and presentation of each order.
• Place and expedite orders.
• Prepare ingredients by following recipes; slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing ingredients.
• Complete hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
• Adhere to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
• Stores leftovers according to established standards.
• Contribute to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with the team.
