Job summary

Provincial Senior Living is seeking a Cook to join our team in a role that supports Senior Living communities. You will prepare hot and cold items on grill, sauté, salad-bar, and service lines, ensuring portions and recipes are followed, and tasting dishes for quality and palatability.

Experience in senior living or culinary service is preferred. Weekend and evening availability is required, with emphasis on food safety and presentation across multiple dining settings.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Senior Living, restaurants, catering, or banquets preferred.
  • Experience with production methods, portion control and food handling safety required.
  • Great organizational skills a must.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and presentation of food product is required.
  • Must be able to work weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare hot and cold menu items which requires working on the grill, sauté station, salad-bar and on the service line.
  • Ensure the proper preparation, portioning and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and the standardized recipes.
  • Taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability.
