Job summary

PeopleReady in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Cook to help prepare meals in a high-volume kitchen. You will sauté, grill, fry, and assemble dishes while following food safety guidelines.

Hours are posted for 2nd shift with pay at $18 per hour. This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for either short-term or long-term assignments with next-day pay via JobStack.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to work with PeopleReady.
• Experience in a high-volume institutional environment is preferred.
• Good knife skills and knowledge of food preparation.
• Able to work all areas of the kitchen.
• Stand for long periods and pass a background check.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Cook:

• Prepare meals in a large volume establishment

• Saute, grill, fry, and cook ingredients according to food safety guidelines

• Chop, slice, and wash fruits and vegetables

• Make salads, desserts, and complete meals

• May create menus and follow recipes

• Assist with catering orders and prepare trays for customers

• Clean the kitchen area, take out trash, mop floors and wipe down the dining area when needed

Job requirements:
