Join to apply for the Cook role at Phoenix Senior Living.

The Lafayette is seeking Cooks to join their team! The Cook reports directly to the Food and Beverage Director.

Shift Details: Mon-Fri; Every other weekend required.

Purpose: The Cook is responsible for all food preparation to meet quality, quantity, and service standards. Handles all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and complies with all regulatory standards.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals, maintain sanitation, keep accurate records, and manage inventory.
  • Follow menus and recipes, including special dietary needs and texture modifications.
  • Ensure food quality and safety, operate dishwashing equipment, and maintain cleanliness.
  • Record temperatures and production data to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Culinary training preferred.
  • At least 1 year of food prep experience, including therapeutic diets.
  • Current SERV Safe certification or ability to obtain it.
