Job summary

Vista Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lewisville, TX is seeking an experienced cook to prepare and serve meals in a long-term care setting, following the facility menu and safety standards.

You will monitor food handling, preparation, and meal service, support nutrition care for residents, and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years as cook in a large-scale operation preferred.
• One year of long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to the menu.
• Monitor methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning.
• Safely provide nutritionally appropriate foods to residents to support health.
• Ensure quality food service and nutrition care in accordance with regulations.
