Job summary

Laramie Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Cook to join our dietary department, ensuring breakfast, lunch and dinner are healthy, delicious, and fun. The role supports culinary excellence and patient-focused dining in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include preparing cycle menus, reading production orders, coordinating cooking schedules, and maintaining high standards of food storage, prep, and service.

Qualifications

• Current Food Handlers card (or ability to obtain one) issued by local Health Department.
• Prior cooking experience in a skilled nursing environment is preferred.
• Demonstrates knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, hygienic methods of food preparation and storage.
• Moderate to heavy lifting (50-pound maximum), bending, reaching, and stooping.

• Perform food preparation tasks as assigned.
